I take the title of this comic from my good friend Mike Brown! Penny arcade did a comic about this today, which i read half way through drawing this. -sigh-
There are two truths expressed in this comic.
First: I did, with the aid of youtube and the prompting of my wife, repair my own dishwasher. Nothing makes me feel more like a fat guy than awkwardly lying on the ground for two hours, trying to get all the finicky little parts to cooperate without busting them and costing me money! it seemed to work out.
Second: apple is the worst. You’ll notice the iPad pro doesn’t have the 4k capable camera. why? well, beause they gotta save something for the iPad pro 2. The new iPhone has it, and it has the same processor, so i mean… it’s not like the pro won’t be able to handle it. Also, it’s like… 0.4 inches larger then the surface pro, which it is so obviously supposed to de-throne as the only cost-effective creative solution for digital artists… the big problem for the iPad pro being that iOS can’t run full featured design apps, but it won’t be long before that is side-stepped.
Third: (bonus) ever since i upgraded ios on my ipad2, its functionality has been… well, hampered would be putting it kindly. But, i’m in too deep with app purchases, music, and etc to make the switch to an android tablet, and so some day in the next 3 years, i’ll have to replace my iPad. Why not spend a little extra and get one i can draw with? WHY NOT INDEED. darn you apple… tomorrow is always a day away.
